Britney Simone is an artist, professional pole dancer, and birth worker based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her creative practice bridges movement, visual art, and advocacy, centering themes of reclamation and resilience. She has performed and taught pole dance internationally, including at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam and Pole Dance Ferrara in Italy.
Britney’s work draws from lived experience to explore grief, revelation, and healing. Through abstracted figurative drawings, she honors the body as a site of memory, power, and transformation. Inspired by nature, radical honesty, and the raw self, her practice holds space for stigmatized narratives from sex work to abortion, offering tender and powerful counter narratives that affirm wholeness and shameless self expression.
